Introducing Snow: A Revolutionary Sailing Yacht by Hakan Gürsu

A New Generation of Retro Schooners Combining Modern Design with Classical Taste

Unveiling Snow, a 66-meter superyacht designed by Hakan Gürsu, that redefines the sailing experience with its groundbreaking features, elegant lines, and radical approach. This award-winning design embodies a fusion of modernity and tradition, offering enhanced stability, comfort, and sailing joy.

Designed with a radical approach, Snow is not just an ordinary sailing vessel. Her streamlined touches and elegant lines blend modern design with classical taste, creating a unique aesthetic appeal. One of Snow's standout features is her twin masts that diverge on the hull edges, enhancing stability and offering a considerable amount of space. This innovative design allows for flexibility in the interior layout, making Snow one of the newest generations of retro schooners.

Aside from her efficient use of large multi-deck areas, Snow boasts an increased number of decks. In addition to the flybridge, upper and lower deck, a suspended deck is held on top of the flybridge, providing better control over sails and booms. An additional lower deck offers extra space for the crew, while the main deck features an inclined space on the fore, a multifunctional fore-room with a panoramic view, and various rooms for relaxation and entertainment.

Two tender boats are embedded in the hull body for landing and cruising purposes. Equipped with air conditioning, sliding roof panels, and leather upholstery, they offer panoramic views and are designed for luxury and leisure. With her robust rig, aerodynamic twin masts, and folding keel, Snow performs as racing sails, providing an ultimate sailing experience.

A revolutionary approach was embraced in the design of the keel. Foldable from center pivots, it contracts and enables approaching more shallow ports. With a decrease in centerboard length from 11.7 meters to 7.2 meters, Snow offers more flexibility in landing and docking. Powered by two diesel engines of 532 kW, she has a tank capacity of 56,000 liters in total. Her maximum speed is over 14 knots.

Snow's design is not only functional but also aesthetically pleasing. With a nearly vertical bow, she has an increased waterline length, resulting in more speed and hydrodynamic qualities. Her bright interiors open up with glass and sliding windows, inviting sunlight in. The material selection and color palette choices were carefully made, with a teak deck and white composite hull complementing a modern adventure sail yacht.

This extraordinary yacht is a testament to Hakan Gürsu's innovative design approach. Snow was awarded the Golden A' Yacht and Marine Vessels Design Award in 2013, a prestigious accolade granted to marvelous, outstanding, and trendsetting creations that reflect the designer's prodigy and wisdom. As a seaworthy vessel, Snow invites navigators for maritime activities in harmony with nature, embodying extraordinary excellence and significantly impacting the world with her desirable characteristics.
